On Sunday 21 June 2009 at 9pm, the UK Animal Planet TV Channel is airing
a one-hour observational documentary called "Trophy Cats" giving an
insight into the world of cats and cat shows.

Filmed at the CoonTICA Easter Purrade show in 2008, it follows the
fortunes of several exhibitors as they prepare for and then attend the
show. If you've never seen a TICA show, then this is an opportunity to
see how it works !

Watching it now!! OMG I'm in love with Heatwave the Ocicat!!!! :wub: :wub: Poor Hectar... he didn't like that bath did he!! :lol:

It was a good film. I didn't know who any of the people featured were - and that lady had a lot of Bengals but she also clearly loved them all, and they loved her. I really thought watching it, how nice cat people are (in general!)

I'm still totally lost over the way it's all organised, and I've been to a show and had it all explained - I think I'm just basically dim :lol:

Forgot to Sky + and forgot to watch :(

Anyone know if it is on Sky Player (that I've never tried to use), or repeated anytime ??

If you Google "Tropy cats" this thread is about the 6th result you get :lol:

It looks as if it's being repeated this Sunday (27th) at 8.00 pm.

Absolutely loved the programme and I recognised may of the folk with whom we chat to at TICA shows.

I had a long chat with the sphinx lady (not the main one featured but the one with dark hair at the show) at a show once and she's lovely. I think I recognise some of the cats.......

I do think that the bengal lady just had too many cats though......although they all looked well cared for.
