I'm ashamed to say, my favourite books are the Harry Potter ones  They make me feel so child-like and cosy, love them!

The Hobbit
The Green Mile by Stephen King
Green Eggs & Ham by Dr. Seuss. My dad read this to me as a child and I have read it over & over to my nephews & nieces & now my great niece love it.
Any Lee Child book
Bridget Jones Diary, when I first read it, it was like reading about my own life
And I also love the Harry Potter books, I never tire of reading them.

Probably my all time fav and most memorable is The Shell Seeker, but recently read a book called The Birthing House, which I enjoyed, not the type of book I would normally read.

I have sooooooo many favourites:-

The Hobbit and The Lord of the Rings - loved them since I was fifteen and read LotR at least once a year - loved the films too!

Gone with the Wind

Anything at all by PG Wodehouse, but particularly the Blandings Castle books.

Georgette Heyer's Regency Romances.

The Mapp and Lucia series by EF Benson.

The Harry Potter series.

Early Stephen King - I'm one of the few who didn't like the 'Dark Tower' series at all.

That's all for now

The Old Wives' Tale by Arnold Bennett - anything by Arnold Bennett really - he was a brilliant writer and is far too neglected today.

Princess Leia

Another vote for the Hobbit here - I've had a copy for years and years and years and read it soooo many times when I was younger ! In fact, I may dig it out again.

Jean M Auel - The Clan of the Cave Bear series
Doris Lessing - Mara and Dann
anything by Margaret Attwood - especially Oryx and Crake
Anne McCaffrey - her Dragonriders of Pern series is magical escapism :)
