I thought the same thing Anna! She was so much better in the audition. It must have been the song...but she really wasn't very good :(

The dancing was awful and she was flat, her outfit was too grown up!

I'm just watching the odd man. - it's terrible!!!

DizzyJenni
24-05-2009, 09:12 PM
Oh yes, the hand actions she was doing were rather cringing !

Just watched 'faces of dicso' - i think thats what they were called - quite entertaining, but not the best that there is?

DizzyJenni

You can't take your eyes off them.

Didn't like the violin players attitude, hated Darth Jackson and the silly ear man. Loved the faces, and thought the ten year old was just cute!

i agree susan wasnt fantastic tonight but she has the fact that everyone knows her now so she will get votes anyway (hope that makes sense) diveristy are amazing and i cant wait to see what flawless come out with, i think there are enough shows for singers already so i always like dancers and stuff thats different

It's the first BGT I've seen this year and I thought it was all a bit disappointing.
I didn't see what the fuss was about Susan Boyle. The violinist was miming and the only one I liked was Diversity. Oh... i'm getting old and cynical!!. Really enjoyed it last year!

I have to admit, when he said that I phoned and voted for them cause I think he REALLY meant it - even Warren welled up!

I loved the liverpool dance troop and think they were far superior to the whiney child singer they could make ££££'s out of...

Very annoying!

DizzyJenni
27-05-2009, 10:27 AM
Oh the liverpool dance group were wonderful, and although Amanda can bug me, i thought she was right when she said they dance as if their lives depend on it, they REALLY go for it.

Jesus wept! :eeeek:

Having avoided the show for weeks, I caught the very end of this b*ll*x tonight and found myself transfixed - is it meant to be a comedy - or is it some kind of national p*ss-take?

Maybe the hubba and me had had too many margaritas, but when our DVD finished and precipitated us on to ITV, we found ourselves too weak with laughter at the sight of some bloke in an oversized bat-cape who screamed his way through 'Barcelona' to find the telly buttons and switch over!

The best part was, after risking causing himself a hernia straining (and failing) to reach that high A, he lost out to some whimpering, scrying child with a voice like a (very faint) musical saw!

Hilarious! No wonder you all love it! :D

We call it "Pets win prizes ...or "Britain has no idea!"

It's nothing to do with talent but is strangely addictive.

The one I hate the most is Paul Potts!

most definately not, i cant believe she got through, talk about sympathy voting, sorry but it just irritated me, i have to wonder if an adult would have got a second chance, the son in stavros made a cock up and just carried on.

We call it "Pets win prizes ...or "Britain has no idea!"

It's nothing to do with talent but is strangely addictive.

The one I hate the most is Paul Potts!

All proper musicians and opera afficionados hate him, dahling - because we can see him for the over-sensationalised, nasal, no chest or middle range 'pub' tenor he is - but you can't deny that Cowell is smart - 'Nessun Dorma' was bound to be a show-stopper - it's one of the plums of the tenor repertoire and is sooo typical of Puccini's 'spear to the heart' kind of beloved aria that any drunk bloke at a karaoke who more or less knows the words and can make a decent stab at the tune should be able to move any listener to tears!

Having been told by friends (when he was on the show) who know how much I adore opera that I would 'love' him, I tuned in to watch and found myself simply gobsmacked at his sheer mediocrity.

Rant! Rant! Rant! I'm sorry, but I just hate it when these talent-show people are referred to as 'opera singers' - they're not - Mario Lanza was a truly superb 'crossover' tenor, but only in the recording studio - in the theatre, he couldn't be heard above the orchestra or beyond the third row of the stalls.

I get incandescent with fury when people tell me that Potts is 'as good as Pavarotti' - yeah, right - and that screaming lad last night was as good as Montserrat Caballe - and don't even get me started on that squeaking mouse Farell Wotsit who has uncontrollable vibrato, no 'chest' at all and slides on to her top notes! Gaarrrgggghhhhhh!
