Has anyone read any Deric Longden books?
I have read all of his & they are brilliant. Really funny. He writes about his life with his wife & various cats.
His first book was about his life with his first wife who died I think from ME if I remember rightly, it was a good few years ago I read that one but it was made into a TV play with Beryl Reid playing his batty mother & he was played by Jim Broadbent.
He later married again, a blind lady also an Author & his tales of their life with their cats is hilarious & sometimes sad.
Definately worth digging around in Charity shops for them or taking out from your local Library.

They are really worth reading Jeni. I will have a dig around at the weekend to see if I still have some. I know I got rid of some a while ago which I regret now as they are the sort of books that you can read agian & make you laugh out loud every time. If I find some I will let you know I can always post you a couple to try.

I have read a couple and they are very gentle and, as you say, funny and sometimes sad books.

Yes, I have read three of his books and they are funny and thought provoking featuring his cat called Thermal and others. I hear there is a new one out now called 'Paws in the Proceedings' or similar which I have yet to buy/borrow.:tiggerific:
