Who out of all you cat lovers, would have bought that cat toy box? I mean really?
It was bulky, would fall apart as soon as a large cat sat on it, and it would be an eyesore.
Not surprised they lost!

I love James - "If I set up a funeral parlour - people would stop bloody dying...." :silly1:

James is the star of the show, he comes out with some of the best one liners, hope he wins.

I hate, detest, despise, abhor, loathe Ben, I find him totally insufferable and the sooner he goes the better.

SO glad Philip went this week, I liked him up until "Pants Man" but then I think he became a total @rse...

I don't normally watch but I will tonight just to see how they try to "sell" Margate - one of the most horrible dumps in the UK

I agree with you Sarah, all three should go. Ben does my head in, he is such an arrogant, rude g*t, as is Deborah and Lorriane is such a whinger (sp)

poor quiet mona... doesn't do to be quiet on the apprentice... if the other team hadn't won they would def have ganged up on Lorraine, though I thought the project manager was nasty...

the hated Deborah remains

The one I hate is Debra - she is so awful, I just want to smack her in the mouth..

She should have been sacked last night - they lost the task for not completing the leaflet, that was her responsibility, she also didnt listen to advice regarding posters and how to arrange them - I dont understand why none of that was thrown at her in the board room by the others.

She is a nasty piece of work and I wouldnt let her anywhere near my business!

Mona was a bit out of touch with the gay community and when she was interviewing that man in the bar - I laughed until I choked - so funny..

BUT she wasnt the worst one out of the team.

Has anyone else noticed ethnic monorities go quite quickly once they are on the losing team?

Deborah is going to remain for a while because she is a controversial character and provokes debate, encouraging more viewers (says Jools the cynic !!)

I still maintain that the slogan for Margate should have been "Much more than an amusement park" or something along those lines - when I was at school, the classic end of summer term trip was a day out at Bembon (sp ?) brothers and that was all Margate was known for ! And why did we not see anyone talking to Tourist Information to find out what was available and what they are trying to promote ? It was obvious from the residents reviewing the pitches that they wanted to push art and culture, and I'm sure that Tourist Information could have given them that steer !

It was one of those tasks where I was getting frustrated because I'm SURE I could have done it better myself !!!

Have to say Lorraine and Ben grew on me a little last night, they seem to work well together and bring out the best in each other.

Mona came over very very well on You're Fired and I think she wasn't the right person to be sacked, it should have been Debra, my hatred for her grows everytime she opens her smug mouth.

My money is on Kate to win, I think she is going from strength to strength and her presentation was excellent, she also seems like a genuine intelligent woman.

It's quite funny how Margate are trying to push this Arts and Culture thing as there's not a lot of it in evidence if you visit

I remembered watching last night, why I never normally watch The Apprentice - it's just a lot of not-very-bright, nasty young people having a go at each other, putting the blame on everyone else and shouting "look at me I'm wonderful".

I guess that's what is supposed to be entertaining - but I just don't like it :(

Interestingly there was a bit on the BBC News this morning saying that Blackpool are targeting the French LOL ! I suppose they have their tower as a pulling point !?

Soupie
21-05-2009, 07:35 AM
I've been expecting his time is up for a while as his inexperience showed but last night the person who should have gone was Deborah. She is utterly vile and has made a number of bad judgment calls and just rides roughshod over everyone to get her own way - well it nearly backfired bigstyle last night.

I am glad Ben showed the other side of him on the "you're fired" programme and he seemed much more humble and to have genuinely learned something by going on the programme. Thought he took all the joshing about himself pretty well .... redeemed him to me a bit as I thought him a pompous ass before

I was surprised too - Id have sacked Debra.. I still cant stand her, I can see that she is ruthless and would be good in the job she was doing pre apprentice, but to do the kind of thing Sir Alan would have her doing?

I dont think she is capable - I think she would alienate everyone she was working with and for.

Princess Leia
21-05-2009, 07:39 AM
I think Debra will stay till close to the end, simply because people are loving to hate her and it makes good telly ! The first couple of series of this seemed much more normal - after that, the heart seems to have gone out of it and I am sure they manipulate the candidates and the firings to keep viewers interested.

Don't get me wrong, I still love watching it, but I think it has lost something from the original. That pushchair is on sale online for £175 now !

Totally agree with you Anna

I thought the Lorraine, Kate & the other one with very blue eyes team worked professionally and as a unit and they "got" they should have an easy sell and a higher value item.

I also disliked that Deborah was willing to lie to cover her back and when Yasmina stuck up for the team leader, she shouted her down to. I'm glad Sir Alan pulled them up on the lying to cover up bit.

Jools I agree - this was meant to have the most talented bunch yet but many of them appear to be good tele rather than good job candidates unless they ALL interviewed blooming well!
