Fife and Tica shows!!

Have just been having a look at the links for these shows
Why oh why do we not get any up here? the nearest Fife show is in Leeds! and Tica either Yorkshire or Glasgow!
All of these would require about a 3hr journey there! I'm most put out, it's bad enough with GCCF we only go to about 4 shows a year because of location I think us Northerners need to rebel!!!
If we lived south of Leeds there is a cat show every single weekend!!

There was a TICA show in Gateshead this year and they really struggled to get enough entries to hold it!

I think its probably like with anything trying to break into an established market (ie GCCF) it takes time - the awareness needs building up before they can compete on a level footing....

The Supreme used to travel all around the country each year to get a following until they had enough interest to be able to be in one place where everyone would travel to...

It was advertised on the ourcats forum, the TICA UK chatlist and on the Tica website :-) and I believe emails were sent out on ukcats and Britcats yahoo lists......

If you fancy TICA then I do recommend joining the TICA UK yahoo chatlist as they update you on all the shows and venues etc etc

Soupie I must have missed al the dates for Gateshead?!!! but I've gone right into 2009 and still cannot find any anywhere near me, although some do say venue TBA, will have to keep checking

It tends just to be one a year in summer. It was advertised everywhere this year as they struggled so hard with entries. Get yourself on the TICA list then you won't miss out as the show managers post on there when they start taking entries and when venues are confirmed etc
