Someone gave him to me over the net, i swapped a lizard for him. He is cream and brown with very dark points. He is my first siamese, and i was wondering if they were all supposed to have blue eyes, as mine does not, weird ay.

Hmm strange, is there a different host i could use so more people have see him? Everytime i take a pic of him the flash makes his eyes go red lol, will have to try and get him in a btight room so i wont need the flash on the camra. But you cant really see much colour unless you pull the skin around the eye back a lil. He can see ok though, not bumped into anything yet, so think he can see ok.

Welcome to Hubbell Bubbell shadow. I cant see the piccies but i'm sure your kitten is utterly gorgeous!
How long had you had your chameleon for? I love chameleons, fantastic creatures.

I had the chameleon for a few months, but she would never let me handle her, and i wanted a pet who would let me touch them, thats why i decieded to swap.

Hi, welcome to the board, I can see your pictures, how old is your boy ? sounds like he really likes you, did you get a pedigree with him ? what's his posh pedigree name ?
_shadow_
02-01-2008, 07:48 PM
Hiya, i didnt get any papers with him, so have no idea what his posh name is :(
Just got back from the vets, got his front line and worming tablets, she checked him over and says he is in good health, but to go back if his cold gets worse, have tired to call txt and email the woman about his vet history to find out about injections etc.... but he phone doesn't seem to work now, so il get all his injections done again i think, as thats what the vet advised too. Just wish some people would have the best interests for the animals.
And yes i am real, why can't you believe i swaped a lizard for him over the net, lots of people sell/swap animals over the net. :)

I hope you don't swap him, Siamese are quite sensitive creatures, he may have been unwell, that could have affected his eye colour, it may get better.

I`m sure you`ll give him the home he deserves, after all, if his previous owner was willing to swap him that doesn`t say much about them, does it?
Carole

He looks 100% Siamese to me, and he's got a nice healthy looking coat.
Poor lad :( - who could prefer a chamelon to a Siamese?

no no id not swap him, a cat is much much differnt to a lizard, as lizards dont get attached and dont have a bond with you. Id never get rid of this boy, he is so lovely.
Also does anyone know of a good pet insurance place?
forgot to add, when we went the vets the lights were very bright and his eyes are blue, must be dark in my house lol.

Welcome to the board. I have to say he is lovely, and looks very settled and happy in his new home. I hope you have many years together. Siamese are so rewarding as pets, and become a huge part of your life.
There are lots and lots of very experienced breeders and owners on here so there lots of knowledge and info you can tap into.
There are lots of discussion on here about insurance. I use Pet Plan and have never had any problems, but some on here have. They are certainly a little more expensive than some of the others. I have heard many distressing stories about M and S.
I'm pleased the vet has given him the OK. he certainly looks 100% Siamese.

Hello and Welcome. My late seal point siamese cat was also called Shadow. He was absolutely gorgeous and he was given to me to care for by my mother in law who could no longer look after him. We had him for 2 years and 4 months only but he was actually 14 when he died.
It's rather nice to have another seal Shadow on the board.

awww sorry to hear you kitty passed away :(
Sean my hubby came up with the name as shadow follows me everywhere, cant even go the loo along, else he cries, might still be setteling in though and be scared to be alone. considering iv only had him 24 hrs, he is so calm and loving.
audrey

Siamese hate to be alone, you obviously make him feel safe.

I certainly hope so, i talk to him lots and love him up loads, im just trying to get him to stay upstairs in the day, as i have a baby girl of 14 months, who i dont want grabbing him. But he wont go upstairs, so i guess we will have to work round that.

pet plan are one of the biggest ones, but as with all insurances you have to read the small print, to see what it covers.hope your shadow, becomes the great friend to you that siamese are known to be to thier owners. They are very special cats.

True friends, and the most fun cat too! Many cats on here will play fetch, climb curtains, and cause chaos! But that is why we love them!
