Any fans of Phillip Pullman's "His Dark Materials" trilogy - put Dec 7th in your diaries - this is the film release of the first book - Northern Lights. Stars Daniel Craig (yum !) and Nicole Kidman

Can't wait - I LOVE those books :D

Really looking forward to it, i wanted to take the day off work so i could go and see it asap, but i don't think it can be considered a valid reason, lol. So going to watch it on Wednesday at about 7ish instead.

Finally saw it today and loved it :) Far too short - the time just flew and I loved their interpretations of the daemons, especially the one for the aeronaut :D

There was detail cut out, but it stayed relatively true to the story I thought. Off to re-read the trilogy for the 4th time now :)

Yay! Saw it last night and thought it was brilliant!

Only sour note was that I went to a late showing [9.30 start] and sitting behind me was an angelic little tot, about two, complete with dummy! Poor little mite had sniffled going in as she thought it would be scary [which it was for a tiny!] and dopey parents practically dragged her in :( I felt very sad for her, no way she would have understood even a second of it and yet the battle sequences were very realistic, loads of slashing and shooting and screaming :( She should have been home in bed and maybe watch some Playhouse Disney in the morning. :(
