Just started this, I love her books, I think Case Histories was one of the best written and most original books I've ever read. Every time I get into one though I am completely amazed by the complexity of the different threads she weaves together, and I spend as much time wondering about how she remembers everything and makes it all make sense as I do reading the actual story!

oohh another author to look out for... recommendation is always the best.. am trawling through some Philipa Gregory at the moment, have just read A Respectable Trade about Bristol and the Slave Trade..

made me feel bad about how Africa was destroyed by that, all the people and generations that were stolen from them, no wonder they are in the state they are .. whole societies anhiliated.. disgusting!!

I'm also dipping into something that sounds similar to that about the settling of Australia with the penal colonies and what happened with the aborigines. :(
