talk about tracys unmade bed? now an artists drilled a darned HOLE into the floor of the tate modern museum and art gallery! not been down to see the tate but do want to go sometime and spend a day in london - it cant be any worse for modern art than some of the sculptures we saw by accident by damien hurst displayed in the bi-annale in venice this summer! or can it? NB but bet it wins all the prizes though!

Being perfectly serious I think it misses the point, as instead of looking at it and thinking "why has she done this - what is she trying to convey? " and seeing it as a piece of art, you just look at it and and think "wow! I wonder how they did THAT?!"

dont know how they did it - hubby said it wants a half ton of liquid concrete tipping into the hole to fill their floor all in again before some poor person falls into it !

No it's just not art.
I love to go to London Once a year and cram in as much as I can....always spend some time in the NAtional Gallery [I'm covering it a section at a time, lol!] but I couldn't be bothered to waste my time with that load of old guff. They'll soon take pics of the people looking in the hole and display those!

The Tate Modern Crack has claimed its first victims http://entertainment.timesonline.co.uk/tol/arts_and_entertainment/visual_arts/article2631902.ece The next thing will be people demanding compensation for falling down it

health and safety here? oops!
well, as soon as cherub does do a decorated posh pen then can safely say it wont be a modern art one - but the italian artist tintoretto and his son comes to my mind - they used to paint skies full of flying cherubs! hence her inspired name after the venice visit trip!
