Zoe was the monster who had the massive strop when they told her she was rubbish, x-factor gold!
Fearne Cotton needs to bugger off back to Glastonbury and someone needs to lassoo Ben from the dancey show and bring him back IMMEDIATELY!

Unlike G, I only really like the audition parts because I don't know the people who put themselves up for it and have no hesitation in laughing myself silly at them. It's quite amazing how many totally deluded souls there are around who can't sing a note, have no pitch and couldn't recognise a tune if it ran up and bit them on the @rse - but are nevertheless convinced they're going to win!
I also find the emergence of the 'sob-stories' hilarious - but once they get them whittled down to the main-show contestants, I lose interest because it just turns into a pantomime.
Am I watching it for all the wrong reasons? :star:

It really proves what a funny old world it is! I LOVE the auditions, it's the only bit i think that is remotely genuine, and I love seeing the weird and the wonderful. I know I'll lose interest when it starts getting all stagey. :)

I can't believe they put through the woman who played invisible instruments???? supposed to be a singing competition???????

No Lucia ... I think i'm the odd one out. Andy likes to watch it but I just can't bear to see these people making idiots of themselves. I think it verges on being a sort of phobia with me.

Laughed so much that i watched the repeat tonight to see if it was as funny second time round........ it was!!!!!. Dear God who tells these people they can sing?, surely someone should have mentioned that they sound awful before they get to the audition. Loved the woman with the scarf round her face too!!!!!!

Me too - I nearly choked to death on my Chinese supper - mind you, I feel very sorry for the people of Wales - they've 'Lost their Voice' in the competition! :holysheep:
Screamed with laughter at the totally psychotic girl who was doing all the effing and blinding too - presumably she was on day-release from a secure unit.:eeeeek:

Leah
26-08-2007, 10:50 AM
It was awful seeing his family outside the room, the judges so privileged and unaware that if they didn't put him through he was being sent to Afghanistan [at least I think htat's what his Dad said :(]

Chrissi
08-09-2007, 08:57 PM
it really annoys me that 99.9% of the people on there, with the decent voices, warble, they don't seem to hold a note strongly, just warble and wave their hands in the airs??

Chrissi
08-09-2007, 09:00 PM
and what is up with people arguing when they are rubbish? Do they think getting their whole family in or begging is going to make the slightest bit of difference????

rachel
08-09-2007, 09:05 PM
Oh my gosh there are some monkeys on there that are awful :bluesbrothers:

Why embarass themselves

That's what seems to pass for singing nowadays, dahling, I think it's called yodelling in Switzerland and 'awesome' in these tin-pot competitions - I wish I had a quid for every time I've thrown a cushion at the telly and screamed, "Sing the fr***ing tune for f***'s sake!"
I blame that fool Whitney Houston for kicking it all off by gargling her way through 'I will always love you' - if I'd been Dolly Parton and she'd done 'that' to my song, I'd have throttled her!
Anyway, back to the show - they're all, with the occasional rare exception, soooooo uniformly ghastly - the judges, the auditionees, their dreadful families who feed the eejits' delusions and don't seem to realise that their darlings sound like warped musical saws - all human life is here - I love it!! :D

Lets get rid of Sharon and you can take her place! Now THAT would be a show!

can you imagine the air after the woman was chucked off, and had her music teacher with her, charging £18 per hour! OUCH

Chrissi
09-09-2007, 12:04 PM
she was awful though! I haven't watched previous series but i agree with chris, they're all dreadful, right down to the judges!

TinaB
23-09-2007, 01:59 PM
people should be honest with friends & family if they can't sing, what about that pharmacist who has so far spent £50,000 to try and make it into the music business... I am staggered that people can delude themselves so much

My Mother rang me in fits of laughter,I could'nt understand what she was saying she was laughing so much.."I.T.V...Girl..Big...Dress...Family....." I put it on and could'nt believe what I was watching...Prime time T.V on a Saturday night and there is a girl in a 'Tent',swaying from side to side, trying to sing. Her mother was there too, they looked like twins.God knows what she was singing,it was inaudable...I switched it off quicker than I switched it on...Bring back Armchair Theatre....LOL (Do anybody remember that?):champagne:

They were a scary looking family, I had to laugh at the expression on Simon's face.

Susie
24-09-2007, 05:57 PM
The girl in the tent was on GMTV this morning being interviewed by Penny Smith. Apparantly she feels "used and violated" by the show. Penny asked her in that Penny Smith way, with a big grin on her face "did you hear your singing afterwards, did you think it was good?" The girl replied that she had heard herself and thought she had done very well. She said why would she have gotten through to this round if she had no talent! Ever heard of ratings love!!!! Penny could barely keep her face straight

The whole family was dead scary.

audrey
24-09-2007, 06:08 PM
It makes you wonder about the sanity of the whole family, they were just like the kind of spooky family you'd find in a horror film, they'd invite you to dinner and then eat you !!!!
